L’objectif du réseau est de travailler de manière complémentaire entre différents sites de reproduction. Compte tenu des difficultés intrinsèques à la production de reines, celles-ci étant conditionnées par des variables biologiques et climatiques, la complémentarité entre exploitations constitue une solution pour obtenir des reines à différentes périodes, ainsi que pour différentes lignées génétiques.
Cette intégration de réseau nécessite un degré élevé de contrôle mutuel, car la complémentarité ne consiste pas uniquement à obtenir différents produits – génétiques – et à différentes périodes de l’année pour la distribution. Il existe également une relation fournisseur-client entre les membres du réseau. Tout ceci conduit à un partage de la qualité des processus de production ainsi que du contrôle final du produit résultant.
Cette collaboration et ce contrôle mutuel permettent d’établir certaines normes et procédures de production en commun, ainsi que l’échange d’informations techniques, juridiques et commerciales entre ses membres.
Bien que le réseau n’ait pas de structure juridique formalisée, et au-delà des relations contractuelles pouvant exister entre les différents membres en intégration verticale ou en tant que client /
